Halloween Stitches

I have only 2 Halloween finishes to hang in my home for the holidays.  Pretty weird since Halloween is my favorite holiday. The first one is Bugs and Kisses from Lizzy Kate:

I couldn’t resist stitching this one up back in 1998. She is stitched on a Purple 10ct fabric using Sampler Threads from The Gengle Art.  Sorry about the photo.  I took it last week on a cloudy, dreary day.

The second piece is from Stoney Creek.

I remember stitching this from a magazine quite some time ago, but I believe that it  is available as a chart from Stoney Creek as I have seen it or something similar advertised in magazines.  This was a fun stitch as I used the Glow in the Dark threads for the pumpkins, grass and the Trick or Treat.  I stitched it on white 14ct Aida and framed it in a wooden hoop.  I made a ruffle from the pumpkin fabric and glued it to the back of the hoop and glued some black lace trim on the top of the hoop.  A shimmery crinkle bow was the final touch.

Besides my October pillow, that is all the Halloween stitching I have.  I’ll have to work on that for next year.  Especially since there are so many cute Halloween patterns out this year.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I’ve never really finished anything holiday related, but I’ve been loving all these cute Halloween pieces. Maybe next year I’ll get some done. 🙂

    1. There are so many cute Halloween projects out there this year. I think that Mirabilia’s August Fairy could be a Halloween hanging with the right fabric. I don’t have any Christmas stitchings! Boy, my list of stuffs to stitch is still growing.
