I finished section 2 of the Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL yesterday.
I am saving the beading until last and section 2 has lots of beads. So it doesn’t look like I have added much. But since I use a scroll frame and have to have it drum tight to stitch, I don’t want to roll over my beads over the next 4 or more months. There will be a lot of beads to add at the end, but it will be worth it.
See my lovely new scroll rod cover at the top? They were gifted to me by my sweet, stitchy friend, Karen. Very mermaidish in color and perfect for my really big table top scroll frame. Now I have a set of covers for all my different sized scroll frames. Thank you so much, Karen. I will think of you every time I stitch 🙂
As promised, I also have a progress photo of Siren. Here she is as of this morning.
She really is a nice relaxing stitch. On 16ct Aida, with no magnifier and the colors are lovely! I wish I could stitch on her 24/7 until she is finished. That is what I have been up to over the last few days. Thanks for visiting 🙂
Your work is beautiful, as always. The beginning of her tail looks fab. All those threads at once would boggle my noggin!

Thank you, Marsha. Typically I don’t leave threads hanging like that and finish off a thread before starting a new one. But since this is a Stitch A Long and the sections are being released a little at a time, I left the threads so that I can pick them up when the next section is released. Just got a peek at the next 2 sections and they are FABULOUS!! Can’t wait to get them and continue on.

Looking good. I love all of those blue greens. I was wondering about all of those threads too, but you explained why in your comment! 🙂

Thank you. I have seen some stitchers who stitch HAED designs will leave all of their threads hanging while they stitch row by row. Too much mess for me. But in this situation, it works and they won’t be left hanging for too long.

Lovely stitching Ginny. I also save both back stitching and beading for the very last jobs. When I roll up the work with beads in, I put a clean hand towel in there to prevent the beads from being crushed.
