I did it! I finally finished Autumn Snowman on January 19. Here he is:
I still have to turn him into a bellpull, but for now, the stitching is finished and I am one happy camper! The other night I picked up this which I had started in December for hubby. I had only put a couple of stitches in until this week:
It is Fairy Dust by Nimue and hubby loved it when he saw it in a Local needlework shop. I am stitching it on a Silkweaver Solo fabric, in 16ct Aida. It shouldn’t take me too long to stitch, but I am still keeping up with the PR SAL and section 8 arrived in my email box yesterday. I will show progress on that when I am finished stitching. Come back tomorrow to see all of my Birthday mail that arrived in the last few days. Lots of fun things!
Love the snowman finish. Makes me want fall to get here quickly! And the fairy is so pretty. Can’t wait to start mine!

Thank you Johanna. But let’s let Spring get here first 😉 Though I know that it will be a few Springs before I start Spring Snowman.

This snowman is so cute. Congratulations on the finish. I too am a cross stitcher and a new blogger so I have not yet added a lot of cross stitch to my blog which is more of a random blog, but check it out if you would like. https://helizabeth1952.wordpress.com/

Thank you so much. Right now I am working on a project for my daughter’s birthday. It’s smaller with the saying “I love you more” which I designed myself. I needed to regroup a little after the big project. And now that I am blogging I am not finding much time to stitch–I really have to find the right balance.

Yep, the internet is definitely a black hole where time disappears. Just do what you want when you want and enjoy it 🙂

Love the snowman! It looks wonderful. This is the one with the two different whites, right? I can’t even tell now!!

Thanks Fawn. Yes, it does have 2 different whites. I’m ok with it. I will give him a bath before I finish him as I tend to stitch tight and he is a bit bumpy. Maybe it will help give the white a more even tone. If not, I’m ok with it.

Fawn, I usually don’t wash before framing unless there is a spot. But in this case, he is really bumpy because I tend to stitch tight and I did leave him on the scroll rods a bit long 😉 I am hoping to reshape him before I get to sewing on him to turn him into a bell pull. We shall see how it turns out. I’m not ready for that part yet, so I will post when I get it done.
