I promised someone that I would do an updated post of my hand dyed fabric stash. So Diya, this is especially for you 🙂
Here are all of my beauties from Hand Dyed Fabrics By Stephanie. She is my favorite dyer and I love collecting her FOTM every month. Several of her fabrics are on scroll frames being stitched on. They are all so beautiful.
This is a smaller pile of prettiest. There are fabrics here from Polstitches, Picture This Plus, Sunny Dyes Fabrics and Under The Sea Fabrics. All are also very pretty.
Seeing the fabrics standing was a much better way of organizing them, rather than having them stacked, which is how I had them before I pulled them out to do this post. So I have put them back into my trunk so that I can see them all at a glance. How pretty! And now it will be much easier to see what I have when looking for a fabric for a design 🙂
This is my biggest stash bin. These are all from Silkweaver fabrics. Some are smaller pieces, but it is nice to have a piece in Aida so I can see how it takes the dye. Most dyers don’t show their dyed fabrics on Aida, which is what I like to use.
So there you have it. I guess you could say that I have a bit of a fabric hoarding problem 😉 Oh well. I could do worse things. Fabric and color make me happy. What is in your favorite stash?
My Time Stitching 
I am so drooling on my keyboard! You have a great range of colors in all of those fabrics. I can’t imagine that a pattern could be made that you don’t have the perfect fabric for. I suppose my favorite stash are my WIPs. So I probably do have lots of fabrics — they just have a few stitches put in them!

Wipe your keyboard off, Johanna. I think you probably have quite the stash tied up in your WIP’s. It would be nice to a picture of all of those together. That would make my mouth water 😉 I am surprised that I was able to pick a fabric from my stash for Raven Queen. You know how it goes… you never have what you really want when you want it. I thought for sure I was going to have to order something. I am glad I was able to use something from my stash this time.

Drool! Drool! Drool! 😀 I am seriously going weak at the knees. Boy am I glad I was sitting down when reading this 😀 I would never be able to put those away. I’d have them out every night just so I could look at all the pretty colors 🙂 Thank you so much for doing this post!
My small stash is mostly bland single colors in comparison with this rainbow but I did manage to acquire a few hand dyed pieces which are my pride and joy. One of them is already in use for a WIP (It was tough to put that first stitch in but what else is the fabric for if not stitching?!). There is another precious piece waiting in the wings for that perfect project to come along 🙂

So glad you liked my post, Diya. They are wonderful to take out and look at and touch, but I really need to start using them. No wonder my hubby rolls his eyes when another fabric comes into the house! I definitely have a sickness. Glad that you are stitching on your hand dyed piece. That is what they are for, not for hoarding (bowing my head) LOL

OMG.. all very lovely colours.. No not fabric hoarder.. you are just passionate about them and I always admire how you can pick the right fabric to stitch your project.. something which i think you have the magic touch for it.. 😉

Wow your collection is wonderful. I want to buy a hand-painted fabric one day in future. Unfortunately they are not sold in my country. 😦 So for the time being I can only admire your collection. 🙂

Thank you. Sorry you are not able to purchase hand painted fabrics where you are. If you can get plain fabric, have you considered painting or dying yourself?

I have never tried so I don’t know how to do. I’m a bit afraid becase even plain fabrics aren’t sold in my country. Only white, count 10 chinese fabric of the poorest quality. 😦 So far, I have been ordering all my stitching supplies from 123stitch as they provide international delivery but it is very costly.
I’m not sure how succesful I’ll be if I decide to hand paint my fabric because I don’t want to ruin my fabric. 🙂

Yes I completely agree with you ☺️ I’m located in Azerbaijan. Mostly our people aren’t familiar with cross stitching, so the shops here don’t sell supplies.

Wow! What a lovely collection.
Maybe take a photo of each one and have that in a folder on your computer desktop so you can look through them easily when choosing a fabric for a new project.

What a great idea, Tracy! That way I can do a layover with any of my own personal fabrics when a great design comes out. Thanks for the tip! I will have to put that on my list of things to do. It may take me a while, but a couple a day would be a great start. You are so smart 🙂
