Wow! Where did October go? I can’t believe it’s been a month since I last posted. Time is flying! So I have things to share. First, hubby went to the framer over the weekend and picked up this:
Mirabilia’s Raven Queen. Isn’t she a beauty? I had the frame picked out for months and it is even more perfect for her than I imagined! I LOVE this piece immensely! She is stitched on 16ct Aida Twixt N Tween from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie.
A closer picture of her and the awesome frame:
And remember the piece I was stitching for a friend, so I couldn’t show it? Well hubby also picked it up from the framer and here it is:
Yeah, my friend is a Trekkie and I finally got this stitched up for her. It is actually stitched on a blue 14ct opal fabric. Here is a better picture of the fabric:
My friend was actually at my house on Saturday for a card class when hubby came home with it, so I was able to give it to her right away. She loves it and was planning on taking it to work today to show all of her Trekkie friends and then I am sure she will find the perfect place to hang it at her house.
I also finished this, but haven’t put it in for framing yet.
Nora Corbett’s Iris Pixie on 16ct Aida OOAK from Fantasy Dyed Fabrics. I just love her on this fabric! So cool how it turned out.
She is a cutie. I can’t wait to get her framed. So now I am working on the Passione Ricamo’s A Journey Into the Deep. I would love to finish this one before starting a new Pixie. Here is how I left the mermaid last night:
I know you can’t tell from this picture, but this is a pretty big piece. I am almost finished the tail, and then I have another fish to do to the right of the tail and another further up then I can move up to her sweet face and all that hair. And she does have a million beads, too, so she will be nice and sparkly! I am stitching her on 28ct Lugana Pixie Dust from Silkweaver.
I also did something new. I knitted an infinity scarf on size 50 needles. Size 50!! Boy was that a little awkward.
The yarn is Red Heart Boutique Twilight in color Metallic. It is soft and will be nice and warm on the very cold days that they are predicting we will have this winter.
I have also been making Christmas cards. One for every day in October. Here is today’s card:
If you want to see the prior 23 cards, you can view them on my business facebook page at Ginny’s Place, Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Leave a comment so I know you visited and let me know what you think of the cards.
Well, now I am all up to date with what has been happening with me the last month. What have you been working on?
Wow! Lovely work. 😉

The Raven Queen is one of my all time favorites-although I could be wrong. Your mermaids are so lovely-hard to choose just one. The fabric on Raven looks like it was painted just for her! I don’t remember to look at your (or anyone else’s blog)-it is full of wonderful cards! The other piece needing to be framed is looking fab, as is the start of your scarf & other mermaid. Can’t wait to see her complete. So glad you let us see them all. You wonder where October went? I think you got tons done!!!

Thanks, Marsha. I guess I was so busy in Sept-October, and that is why it flew by. I have to say that Raven Queen is my favorite right now. I just can’t stop looking at her. Glad to hear that you have visited my FB page to see all of my Christmas cards. 6 more to go 😉 The scarf is done. I posted the picture in this post. Maybe you missed it. Thank you for all of your kind words and for taking the time to visit. ❤

I just knew that the Raven Queen would be gorgeous, but you outdid yourself. Awesome. And the Frame! Really brings it all together. I can not stare at her enough.
So quickly, and your Iris Pixie is done. She is adorable. But I am looking forward to your next mermaid. Such pretty colours and detail. All the mermaids are always stunning, I can just image the hair on this beauty. Have fun.
Well done on the knitting, looks nice and quick.
Indeed, November is around the corner, and the year is going so quickly. Soon I will have to start thinking around the Festive Season, which is a happy time.
Have a great week. Happy stitching. 🙂

Thank you, Joey. I can’t stop staring at Raven Queen either. She has my full attention every time I pass her. If I count all the days I actually worked on Iris, I think she only took me a little over 4 weeks. I like the Pixies. They are pretty quick to get done. I am still working on mermaid. One more fish and I can move up to her face and hair. I will post another progress picture soon. The months are really flying by, aren’t they? Soon it will be winter here (not my favorite season) but the holidays will be nice with my boys visiting. Let’s just slow it down just a little, ok? Have a great week and thank you for visiting and leaving your sweet comment. ❤

Always welcome, I do so love reading your posts, and gawking at your beautiful stitching. Raven Queen is stunning. I would stare at her all the time. And of course, the mermaids are always a favourite as well.
Send the winter this way, I am happy to swap. Love the cooler weather.
Also looking forward to the holidays. My daughter and son in law will be “home” this year, as they only visit Europe in January. 🙂
Enjoy the rest of the week and take care.

I would gladly send winter your way, Joey. But since I can’t, I will plan on using the days to stay inside and stitch away. On something fun I hope 😉 I will keep you posted 🙂 Happy stitching 🙂

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me 🙂 I know life gets in the way and there are times I don’t get to the blogs either. We do what we can do when we can do it. I really appreciate your visit. Thank you for your kind words, also. I saw the frame months before I put Raven Queen in to be framed and knew that it would be the perfect frame for her. I love it when everything comes together.

Thank you, Marilyn. I too love how Raven Queen turned out. The fabric turned out to be so perfect for her. It was one that I had in my stash, and when I saw her I knew it would be perfect. Turns out the sunset was in just the right place. I can’t wait to get Iris framed. And I am hoping to stick with mermaid until the end. 28ct fabric is not my favorite, so we shall see. Thank you for visiting 🙂

Hehe… it still amazes me that you have wall space left after all the goodies you have framed over the years 😀 Your home must be an amazing gallery of your finished pieces! I would love to see a post someday of all the pieces you have displayed in your home 🙂

I don’t have much wall space left without putting things right on top of each other. I will have to do a video walk-through my house one day. I still have plenty of room in my new craft room for more pixies, though 😉
