I received a call from my LNS that some things I ordered were in. So off I went and here is what I picked up:
The new Mirabilia, Roses of Provence, her bead pack and White Chocolate 16ct Aida. Since ordering this I have decided to stitch her on Stephanie’s Sky & Grass which she is currently dying for me. Can’t wait to get it and start this. I also decided to do Country Cottage Needleworks Santa’s Village. I am going to do them all on one piece and had to order the fabric. I will be stitching it up on 16 ct Aida Lambswool. I also had to have Winter Snow, also by Country Cottage Needleworks. I just love the colors in this and the Santa Village series. After looking on their website, there is a lot on there I like. Who would have thought, as I am not a country person. But I think a lot of their things look vintage and I do like that. There is also some peppermint striped fabric for some ornaments that I want to stitch and a snowflake bell pull for a future snowman project. I had to pick up 2 new bookmarks for hubby as he is on his 2nd one and I think maybe he is liking this stitching stuff. I also ordered the last 2 Mirabilia Reindeer I need for my afghan-Prancer and Rudolph. I hope to start this one some time this year. So that was my fun shopping trip today. I will share my progress on Emerald Mermaid this week. I had to do a bit of frogging last night and was not happy as I don’t have a lot done and don’t need to be frogging so early on! So now I hope that the frogs have hopped on and I can continue without any trouble.
What a great haul! I went to the website for the Santa Village. The colors are really pretty and vivid. Have fun sorting through all of your goodies!

I had a great time, Johanna. Once I saw the little patterns for the village, I was sold. They are so cute and I just love the colors. Can’t wait to get started on this. Have to wait for fabric.

Now, that’s some serious stash. I’m doing the village too. I love that striped fabric. Never saw it before.

It’s my birthday month, so I used my 25% off shopping spree! It was fun. I’m not sure who makes the fabric. The just says : HD Evenweave, 28ct Peppermint Pink. I can find out who makes it if you’d like. I wanted to make the cute gingerbread ornaments in THE Ornament magazine and couldn’t find the fabric before Christmas. Was happy to find it yesterday. I can’t wait to get my fabric so I can start the Santa’s village. It’s a darling pattern.

Nice stash enhancement, Lady! Perhaps soon you can join Kathy and I as a member of SABLE (Stash Acquisition Beyond Life Expectancy).
I absolutely love the colors that Nikki Leeman uses in her Country Cottage Needleworks designs, especially all the pastels. I am collecting the charts for the village, but I don’t think I’ll be able to start it this year.

It was a fun shopping trip, Karen. I do think I need to become a member of Sable. I have been hoarding..uh…um……”acquiring” stash since the early 90’s. Sounds like a fun group :o) I think I need to have a will for my stash. I need each craft stash to go to someone who will take care of it. Hehe. I think I am hooked on Country Cottage Needleworks designs. I am loving the colors and the sweetness of the designs. My fabric is being ordered from my LNS and will be mailed to me when it comes in. I am going to make a point of starting it right away and try to keep up with it monthly. Oooops, another project added to my “to do list” for 2013. Oh well…YOLO!
