Pixie and Mermaid Progress

So last week I told you I put down Aphrodite to start stitching on Blossom Collector.  I was going to switch back and forth, stitching on them both.  But I have been smitten with Blossom Collector and have stitched solely on her for the last week.  Here is where I am with her:

She is going rather quickly.  After just one week, I am about halfway done with her.  I just love the Magenta hues.  The strands of what I think are the blossoms she is collecting, are stitched with Caron Waterlilies and I just LOVE stitching with them.  So soft and silky and the strands just glide through the fabric so smoothly!  I think it would be fun to stitch with them all the time.  If they just weren’t so pricey.  Oh well, I will enjoy stitching them when I can 🙂

And here is how I left Aphrodite a week ago:

She is another sweet stitch that was going quite quickly.  I can’t wait to get back to her and her gorgeous colors.  I was just starting on the shell when I put her down.  She won’t be abandoned for long. I miss stitching on her.  Wouldn’t it be cool to stitch on 2 things at one time?

So what are you stitching on these days or what can’t you wait to get back to stitching on?

  1. Beautiful colors! They both look great so far 🙂 Currently I’m trying to finish off a piece for my daughter and I want to be able to finish it before the end of this month. The piece is called Fergie and Fergus from Kinkavel Kross (a freebie) and they’re adorable little foxes. I will be reading your progress on both the pixie and the mermaid. I will probably be purchasing them. You are a great enabler!

    1. Thank you, Latinstitcher. I am enjoying stitching on them both. And I am happy to pass on the enabling as there is always someone enabling me, too LOL. I think it’s a never ending thing 🙂 I look forward to see your project. Sounds cute 🙂

  2. They are both coming along beautifully. 🙂 And much faster than my current little stitching project. But my fingers are still itching to stitch more, you are a great inspiration, thanks.

  3. Great progress on both.
You will have them done in no time!
I am stitching Plum Street Samplers Ghoultide Welcome.
I am stitching the house, which is huge!
    It’s 81 stitches across!
When I get the house done, I think it will go faster. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Marilyn. I think Blossom Collector will be done pretty quickly-as long as nothing else catches my eye! I looked up the stitch you are working on and it does look a bit intricate. Keep plugging away at that house and then you can get into some color 😉
