Hello Bloggers! I think it is finally Spring here. In fact, this was happening outside my front door in my Rhododendron bush:
This Mama was so busy making this nest. It was wonderful watching her. Then last week I noticed a broken egg on my porch. So I frantically tried looking in the nest to see if there were any more eggs and yes, there were 3 more.
I do hope that nothing gets to the other eggs and I can see little baby birds soon. So exciting.
More excitement…look what made it home from the framers yesterday:
A Journey Into the Deep by Passione Ricamo. She is soooo beautiful! And so big! And already hanging on the wall. Right at the end of my hallway, so everytime I go upstairs, I can look at all her gorgeousness! She was stitched on 28ct Lugana Pixie Dust from Silkweaver. So happy to have this awesome mermaid finished and hanging up. Here are a few more pictures of her:
I am making slow progress on Ella. Other things have been occupying my time lately, so only a few stitches here and there. Here is how she looked after I put her down last night:
I couldn’t resist starting a little bit of that sweet frog. I will save him and his crown for last 😉
I also started a new project. A Chandelier SAL from AAN. I’m not sure about the metallic threads. I have chosen a suggested fabric, 16ct Aida Winter Solstice from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie, but the threads are not showing up very well. So, when I get back to it, I will finish the whitish stitching and then decide how I want to add the metallic threads. There will be lots of jewels, too! So excited for the end of this one. I LOVE chandeliers. I have a whole board devoted to them on my Pinterest – Ginny Schleich if you want to check it out. So here is my start on this one:
And lastly, I am getting ready for a new Stitch A Long to start on Monday! It is Passione Ricamo’s Mystery SAL 5. It seems like I have been ready and waiting for months!
My fabric is on the scrolls, marked and ready to go! It is a beautiful hand dyed that Johanna from Fantasy Dyed Fabrics made for me. It is gray with hints of purple. I think it will be perfect for Moon, Sweet Moon. From the sneak peeks from Dawn, the model stitcher, It is going to be a Fairy and a crescent moon. If you want to do this SAL, you have until April 29 to purchase the SAL. You can find it by clicking on the link above or here.
So, that is what I have been up to among many other things. I’d love to hear about what you are working on. For now, Keep on Stitching and Enjoy Every Stitch 🙂
Another glimpse into all your beautiful pieces. Gorgeous stitching!

Thank you so much 🙂 I was hoping to get Ella done by Sunday night, but it doesn’t look like I will. Well, I guess I will just have to juggle 4 projects 🙂

I will definitely keep an eye out for your work on Ella. Juggling projects is definitely what is happening here right now. I think juggling will me the name of the game for me until the end of September then I will just have one more major, non-stitchy project with a break after that one hopefully for 1 1/2 years. Something tells me that is very wishful thinking however! 🙂

Aw sweet. I love the cardinal nest. It’s like peeking into a magical realm of nature folk.
My goodness your Mermaid is absolutely gorgeous. The frame compliments her perfectly.
Ella is going to be lovely. I think you’re making really good progress on it.
The chandelier looks like it’s going to be a beauty. I look forward to watching your progress on it.
The mystery SAL sounds like fun. 🙂

Thank you, E.C. I was a little worried about the frame, with it being so thin. I would have loved a big bulky frame, but my options were limited. I do love how it turned out and am happy I chose the frame I did. Ella is moving along. I started the backstitching last night and will be beading soon 🙂 I really can’t wait to start the new PR Mystery SAL on Monday. Hopefully, no one will bother me on Monday. I just may turn my phone off 😉

Mermaid is just gorgeous and you’ve had her framed perfectly. Ella is coming along nicely and I can’t wait to see the little frog. Love, love the colours on the mystery SAL and can’t wait to see it grow.

That is the sweetest bird nest, and you get to spy the eggs in it too. How awesome. I trust the Mommy bird will keep the babies safe so we can see them grow.
I am in awe!! I can not stop looking at your mermaid. She is just to gorgeous for words. I would also hang her where I could see her all the time. 🙂
Ella is coming along nicely, as always. And a chandelier!? Wow, that is going to be a different piece that I have not seen before. I love the blue fabric you decided on. It is perfect.
Enjoy and happy crafting. Looking forward to your next posts. 🙂

Thank you, Joey ❤ I absolutely love mermaid, too and just swoon every time I see her. I am almost finished with the first section of the PR SAL, so I will get back to Ella soon and hopefully have her finished soon. I definitely need to get back to the chandelier and the Mystery Sampler. So far, Mama cardinal is still sitting on her nest. When she flies away for food, I notice the eggs still there. Can't wait to see little baby birds! Hopefully I can get some good pictures to share, too 🙂 Have a great week and have fun stitching 🙂

It is so awesome to be able to peek into the nest without disturbing the mommy bird. I am looking forward to seeing the little babies too. It is not every day one gets so lucky. 🙂
