It is still winter where I am and the snow is still here. In fact we had another 5-6 inches yesterday. Today the sun is shining and I am happy for that. I am also happy that I have another finish for 2022! On February 7 I had finished all of the stitching on my Winter Snowfall project.

Yesterday I finished putting in the over 1600 beads!

I am so happy to be finished with all of that white and all of those beads. It was so worth it. Another WIP out of the pile! The stats on this one: Winter Snowfall by Shannon Chirstine Designs. I stitched on 16ct Aida Valyrian Steel from Fabrics by Stephanie. DMC colors are 818, 3354 and B5200. Mill Hill beads are 00479 and 40557. I have a new project in mind that I want to start. But it depends on how long it will take to get to me.
That is what I have been up to. What are you working on?
Oh how beautiful! That tris gorgeous and I love the softest of the colors.

Dang typing … meant this not tris, and meant softness not softest.

That is utterly stunning. A genuine work of art. An incredible achievement! I’m a knitter so unfamiliar with other yarn art forms; what is this please? Eg needlepoint/tapestry/cross-stitch/something else? It is really beautiful whatever it is and I hope you really enjoyed it and can take pride in it

Thank you, Pink. It is a cross stitched piece and I am quite pleased with it. It was a lot of work, but I am so happy to have it finished.

This is a jaw-droppingly gorgeous piece, Ginny! Every time I look at your beading, I think I should try it out when I finish a stitching project, and then I invariably forget. 🙂

Thank you, Anita. I think beads add another layer of dimension and sparkle. It is that final touch on a project that just makes me happy. You definitely should give it a try. I am thinking of adding some beads to the 2022 Fox and Rabbit SAL. But I am still trying to work out details on that one.

I’ll need to actively think about including beads into a pattern. 🙂 I’m hoping this MSAL will be it, but I haven’t yet found the right opportunity–I’ll wait for it. If you do add embellishments to yours, I’ll be looking forward to checking them out!

Thank you, Nanacathy2. It really was a lot of work. I didn’t think I would ever get through stitching all of that white! I am so happy I stuck with it and finished it.

Thank you, Southern Patches. I am hoping I can get it framed before next winter so I can admire it on the wall during the winter months.

Thank you, Marilyn. I am happy with how it turned out. It may be a while before I do the companion piece, though. I definitely need a break from all of that white.
