My love for Mirabilia designs came when I first laid eyes on the Winter Queen in 1995. I still remember how it felt the first time I saw that pattern. She was beautiful, elegant, regal and mesmerizing and I knew I had to stitch her right up. Here she is in all her glory:
I loved every stitch I put into her. I didn’t even mind the Whisper thread because it gave her dress that fur look around the edges. The beads were so beautiful and sparkly.
She will always hold a special place in my heart as she was the beginning of a love for the most beautiful patterns to come from Miss Nora Corbett.
I loved the Winter Queen too when I first saw her. I must say the Mirabilia cover picture does her absolutely no justice. Your stitching makes her look even more beautiful! All that frosty gorgeousness… 😀

Thank you so much. She is the one stitching that I would change the frame on that I mentioned on your blog. My only “regret” piece. She doesn’t match my other 3 Queens as she was my first Mira that I stitched. Some day I will get her re-framed.

Hmmm…To be honest I didn’t notice anything wrong with the current frame. But yes I can totally understand how a tiny part of my brain would be nagging at me that she didn’t fit in with her sisters 🙂
