Hello my blogging friends! It’s a bit of a snowy day outside, so I am inside, organizing, cleaning and now it’s time for a blog post 🙂 Thanksgiving is over, and I kept my emotions under check better than I expected to. And ever since, I have been cleaning and organizing and making piles to give away and donate. I tend to do this when I am sad or angry. It feels good to get organized and having things put into place. I really cleaned my laundry room and my craft room, making room for new storage containers 😉 I am hoping my craft room will be better organized for me to get in there and get my Christmas cards made and get back to my scrapbooking. Now onto stitching stuff!
First, I have a finish. Pink Princess is complete and I am over the moon in love with her. I even found the little butterfly bead to put into her hand instead of stitching a butterfly. Not sure if you can see it in the photo. It is a beautiful bead with blues and greens and purples and pinks. Perfect for her hand.
I think she turned out so amazing! She is Dawn, the Fairy Spirit of Grace by Passione Ricamo. I stitched her without the wings, even though she is a beauty with them as well. I stitched her on 16ct Aida Tintagel from Fabrics by Stephanie. A gorgeous Princess on a gorgeous piece of fabric.
So now I am back to stitching on the Treasures of the Deep piece. November mermaid is up right now.
I finished all the stitching last night. I am hoping to get the backstiching all done tonight so that I can dive into a new project. Yeah, I know, another project, right? Anyway, this one is Treasures of the Deep SAL from Shannon Christine designs. The fabric is 16ct Aida Maldivian Dreams from Fiberlicious. Just December and January left of this SAL and then all the gorgeous, sparkly beads can be added. This one is really blinged to the max!
So, what is my new project you ask? Well, it is another mermaid. This one is Aquamarina from Bella Filapina. I ordered her in August and she arrived sometime in October. I quickly gathered up all the DMC threads, beads and Kreiniks for her and special ordered a fabric for her. Last night I received this gorgeous fabric and I squealed with delight!
Oh my gosh! Isn’t it just breathtaking? It is 16ct Aida from Fantasy Dyed Fabrics. Johanna did an amazing job on creating this one for me. So I am hoping to start this new project tomorrow, even if I have to stay up super late finishing the back stitching on the November mermaid.
So that is what I am up to today. What are you stitching on? Do you have a new project you want to get started on?
Your Pink Lady is STUNNING! That little butterfly bead is just perfect. I love those mermaids, they’re precious. I can’t wait to see your new mermaid unfold. Makes me want to order her too, although my husband would probably lose his mind!

Thank you, Craftingwithmomma. I am so pleased with the Pink Princess. I say new project to my husband and he just rolls his eyes. He knows how many I have in the works, kitted up and in boxes. Stitching keeps me sane, so he just goes with it for the most part 😉

My hubby is the same way, he gives me a little poke about how many are in my crafting drawer but he’s just about as bad with his games so we get along fantastically 😆 He plays a game and I stitch along behind him!

You KNOW I love your pink princess. And the mermaid SAL is spectacular already. The bling will be the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to see your progress on the new mermaid. So glad you are happy with the fabric! So once I dye a piece of fabric for myself, I will be starting Lady Mirabilia.

Thank you, Johanna. The Pink Princess turned out better than I even imagined. I can’t wait to add all the bling to the mermaid SAL. It will be so sparkly! And you know I am over the moon for the fabric you dyed me for Aquamarine. I look forward to seeing what you dye for Lady Mirabilis and seeing you start on it. I will pull mine back out and we can stitch together on her 😉

I am in love with Pink Princess.
She is just so beautiful on that fabric.
The Mermaids are looking great, and Filapina will be beautiful.
Thanks for the link, she has some beautiful designs.
I am going to start a Sampler called Esther Biddleton by Brenda Keyes.
May I ask where you got your blocking mats?
I know I’ve seen them somewhere, but can’t remember where!
Thanks!

Thank you, Marilyn. I am so pleased with her. Can’t wait to get her framed. Bella Filipina designs are actually designed by a male. He is a great designer. There are several more of his designs that I would love to get. I wish I had ordered them when I ordered Aquamarine, as it took about 7 weeks to get here to the US from the Philippines. I bet your sampler will be awesome! I purchased my blocking mats at my local yarn shop.

Ooh Pink Princess is stunning! I love the butterfly bead that you added in, and the fabric background adds much interest. The fabric for Aquamarina is breathtakingly gorgeous too – I would love to work on such a beautiful canvas! Your mermaids are coming out nicely, and I’d love to see them all beaded up.

Thank you, Anita ❤ I took Pink Princess to the local cross stitch shop yesterday and put her in for framing. I had quite a time trying to pick a frame for her. I ended up with a black one. I will be sure to post about her when I pick her up. I think the fabric for Aquamarine is amazing, too and I have already started stitching on it. I will have to put her down to get started on the December section of the Sampler so I can finish it this year. It is a big section, so I had better twist my arm to put Aquamarine away soon. January will be the last little mermaid on the mermaid SAL. I am looking forward to adding the hundreds of beads after that one. So many things to do and now it is December! All I want to do is sit in a corner and stitch and pretend it's not time to get ready for Christmas. Ugh

Your princess is stunning, and adding the butterfly bead is an amazing idea.
I think the new mermaid is going to be amazing, and that Fabric!! wow, you outdid yourself on this one. I think you are ready to get started, for sure.
The other little ones are coming along nicely too. They all seem so happy and cheerful together.
I am glad to see you did such a good job during Thanksgiving. And of course, the cleaning always helps. And is appreciated too, since to donate at the same time. I have been doing some donating myself, and it feels good.
Take care and keep warm, hope the snow is still treating you kindly and keep resting your arms and elbows when you should.
Hugs. xx

Thank you, Joey ❤ I put the Pink Princess in for framing this last weekend, so I will be sure to post her all framed up when I get her back. Johanna did an amazing job on the fabric and I just love it! I have already started the mermaid, but think I will be putting her aside tonight to work on the last section of the sampler. I finished the November mermaid and will post her soon. She is a little sexy mermaid 😉 I'm still cleaning and finding things to donate. It does feel good to unclutter the clutter and donate things that are no longer being used. The snow has been light so far, and I have been able to get out in the morning and get my Tim Horton coffee most mornings ;). The right elbow is still giving me such pain. I think I will need to tie the arm up so I don't use it, but I really don't see that happening. I am getting frustrated with it at this point. You toke care and happy stitching 🙂

Happy New Year. may 2019 be a Wonderful and happy year for us all.
I am back on social media, since I did not have much time or access while away. 🙂 It was a good break though.
Hope the snow is still treating you kindly, and your elbow is starting to feel better. 🙂 Hope you rested it.
It was a heatwave here for a while, and then the weather changed. It has been raining for days now. 🙂 I am very happy for the rains. It has brought flooding, but we appreciate and need the rains so much more.
Will be looking up your new posts and stitching in a bit and catching up.
Have a great week and take care.

Happy New Year, Joey. So far we have had a great winter with very little snow. I hear it is coming at he end of January. For now I am enjoying being able to get out and go when I want. The elbow is still giving me problems, but I am hopeful it will heal soon. I have heard that it can take up to a year to get better. I have good days and then the days where I use it too much and feel it for a few days. I just can’t seem to stop crafting ;). I hope your weather has settled down and is not so hot and that the rain will be plentiful and the flooding minimal. I look forward to seeing what you are crafting this year.
